- What do you understand by the term layer ?
Ans. Layers are like transparent sheets that can hold objects and are stacked on top of each other. Layers allow you to organize artwork, animations and other elements , edit objects without affecting objects on other layer. - How will you add a new layer ?
Ans. The various methods of adding a new layer are :
• Click on the InsertLayer button at the bottom of the timeline. (or)
• Select Insert ->Timeline -> Layer (or)
• Right-click the Layer name and select Insert Layer.
A new layer appears above the selected layer and becomes active layer. - How can we rename a layer ?
Ans. Click on the layer which you want to rename.
• Double-click on the name and enter the new name. (or)
• Right-click on the layer name and select properties from the context menu. In layer properties dialog box, enter the new name and click Ok. - What do you know about masking in Flash ?
Ans. Mask in Flash is an instance (or any image object) that acts as a hole through which we see the contents of the layer or layers beneath it. It is often used to create spotlight effect that would display text through a hole. To mask a layer , right-click the layer name and choose mask option. - What is the use of Onion skin tool ?
Ans. Onion skin tool allows you to see a faint ghost image of the previous frame. This way you can see where to place the image for the next frame. By clicking on the Onion skin button, you can see several frames before and after the currently selected frame.
