- What are symbols ? Name the types of symbols.
Ans. Symbols are reusable objects for static images or animation. They are created with the help of drawing tools or imported from other sources.
There are three types of symbols. They are Button , Graphic and Movie Clip. - What do you understand by Instance ?
Ans. Instance is a copy of original symbol . The size , colour , shape and position can be altered without affecting the original symbol. There can be many instances of the same symbol. - What do you understand by the term Animation ?
Ans. Animation is the term used to create an effect when a series of images appear in a fixed interval of time , to show some movement . Animations can be created in Flash using Tweening methods. - Why do we use Motion Guide Layer ?
Ans. Motion Guide layer is used to draw a path to be followed by the object while in motion. The drawing in the motion guide layer is invisible in the flash movie . It is necessary to snap the objects to the beginning and ending of the path to follow the path. - How do you convert an object into a symbol ? Explain briefly.
Ans. To convert an object into a symbol , select the object and press F8 key (or) Select Modify -> Convert to Symbol . In the Convert to Symbol dialog box , type a name for the symbol ,choose the symbol type and a registration point and click Ok. The newly created symbol is placed in the Library . - What is Tweening ? What are the different types of Tweening ?
Ans. Tweening means ‘ in between ‘ . It is used for creating animations in flash in between any two keyframes. The properties of the tween can be changed in the Properties panel. There are two different types of tweening . They are : Motion Tweening and Shape Tweening.
